Happy Autumn Holidays!

Friday, November 23, 2012

Well, I haven't been here for a few years because life has changed for me. I am living what I have always wanted-to write stories and to be loved by a man like John. I didn't go to Saudi Arabia due to a series of events that had me instead in the arms of my beloved. So now I am married and have completed my memoir while John supports me both physically and emotionally. I feel I have finally "got it." The it being what I thought normal people have; a certain degree of true love, adequate money and emotional health. Boy was I confused. My journey to mental health has me questioning what I thought most people have. Whose the strange one now? It looks like I will get the end of my life looking back at illusions about what I think goes on inside others heads when that is quite impossible. I remain curious thought.

NYC yellow bike program

Hi you all. Yesterday was a fabulous day in New York City. Me and John went to Central Park with my two bikes spray painted yellow. I wanted to leave them for the city dwellers, who are so inclined, to get around. Other cities around the USA have yellow (or white) bike programs so why not New York. The idea is to have a bike laying around in good repair. No need to steal it, just use it.
The problem is, though, when they become unusable because of a broken chain, flat tire or bad brakes. Who fixs them? Well that is where I hope New Yorkers will gather together to figure out.
Some prisons teach prisoners to repair such items. It gives them skills and the labor is of no charge. But still parts are needed. Funds need to be contributed.
New Yorkers are good fund raisers, so I don't see that the few hundred dollars a year needed to keep a program like this running would be difficult. Even disadvantaged kids could pick up the bikes and try their hand at putting the chains back on and fixing a flat.
I hope it goes far...........................

Saudi Visa application process

Well, the deadline for leaving for Saudi is within a couple of weeks but don't ya know I am living with a wonderful man who has to let me go. I just hope I don't have to let him go. We have had a wonderful two months while I lay over at his pad until my time of departure on that big metal bird.
In a few straight months we have gone to see in Hartford.........Savoy Brown which was magical because we got there just before the music started and with every one seated in general seating, we got the last table right next to the stage. Kim Simmons even interacted with us!
Then we went to "Gathering of the Vibes' in Bridgeport and had a bash!
Then my best friend Annie got us discounted room at the resort in Napa Valley California-fantastic.
Then John took me to see 'Burn the Floor' on Broadway for my birthday because he knows how much I love dancing. He doesn't dance.
How can I leave a man like this? I must be crazy....(Por ti volare by Andrea Bocelli plays on the media player while I write this&%$?)
Boy, I don't know. What I do know is that after making decisions in the last few years that when my intuition said NO, I still went forward anyway. My intuition is saying GO, so I go and pray that John will have been to occupied to see the time pass and we will be back in each others arms in a breath of time
